Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy a website template from Dowel Pages, independent digital products (“we”, “us”). By completing a purchase you agree to them.

What you are buying

Each product is a downloadable digital file: a zip with a one-page website template (HTML, CSS and JavaScript), a README and a license file. Nothing physical is shipped. The live demos on this site show exactly what is in each package, with fictional sample content. The templates are in English.

Price and payment

Each template costs US$17, charged once; there is no subscription. Payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. Your bank may add a foreign-transaction or currency-conversion fee. The charge appears on your statement as DOWEL PAGES.

Delivery

Delivery is immediate: after a successful payment you get a download link on the confirmation page and by email at the address you entered at checkout. If you don’t receive it within an hour, check your spam folder and then write to dowelpages@mail.grokbot.com.

License

A purchase gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the template to build websites for yourself or your clients, including commercial websites, on an unlimited number of end sites. You may modify the code and design. You may not resell, redistribute, share or give away the template itself, modified or not, or include it in another product sold or distributed as a template, theme or starter kit. The full license is in LICENSE.txt inside each package.

Your content

Sample business names, phone numbers, addresses, listings, prices and texts in the templates are fictional. You are responsible for the content you publish with the template and for following the rules that apply to your business, such as advertising rules for attorneys, fair housing notices for real estate or health-information rules for dental practices.

Third-party parts

The templates load typefaces from Google Fonts, licensed under the SIL Open Font License. The templates include no photographs; you are responsible for the rights to any images you add.

Refunds

Because the files are digital and delivered instantly, sales are final except when a file is defective. See the refund policy.

No warranty

The templates are provided “as is”. We test them in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, but we can’t promise they will fit every purpose or every host setup. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force on the day of your purchase applies to that purchase. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
